This Privacy Policy explains how Prefabbers ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use this website. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.

Data you give us: your name, mobile number, email address, city or site location, and the requirements you enter in our forms; account details if you register; and for manufacturers, business name, GST number, address, product details and photos. We also keep messages you send us by form, email or WhatsApp.

Data collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and cookies (see section 7).

• To respond to your enquiry and help you get quotes.
• To share your requirement with suitable manufacturers so they can contact you with a quote.
• To create and manage your account.
• To verify manufacturers before listing them.
• To improve the website and understand how it is used.
• To send service messages about your enquiry or account.
• To send offers or updates, only if you have agreed — you can opt out at any time.
• To meet legal obligations and prevent fraud.

3. Who we share data with

• Manufacturers and suppliers listed on Prefabbers, when you send an enquiry or request a quote.
• Service providers who help us run the website, such as hosting (Hostinger), analytics (Google), and email and messaging providers.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — typically up to 24 months after your last interaction — or longer where the law requires, for example for tax records.

5. Your rights

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure.
